I agree with everything


Too many people write that off because of our history with the big east. you always hear the news about the big tens mega deal. They too have associate memberships. They have them in hockey. They have them in lacrosse. they even tried to get Arizona state to join as a hockey only member. The acc should have done that with John Hopkins lacrosse before big ten snatched them up.

On a side note memory seems to say they have always had some sort of academic partnership with university of Chicago who used to be in big ten.

The point is you make relationships which make you stronger. I wonder if the big ten is not laying the ground work to hpeventually get higher fees on associate member states for their channel. Hence the reason they are approaching them. It gives them better content. The pie is not split and eventually you have another revenue stream for their channel via higher fees in the associate.
